Lakefront Cottage – Glass Deck & Picket Stairs
A new lakefront build with a timber-frame covered deck facing the water. The goal: protect the view. We installed black powder-coated aluminum post-and-glass railing around the entire upper deck, so from the dining table you look straight through to the lake and the dock.
Both open-riser staircases got matching black aluminum picket railing for a strong, comfortable handhold on every step, cut to follow the stringer angle exactly.
Black aluminum ties in with the black windows and timber brackets – a clean modern-rustic finish that stays maintenance-free through every season at the lake.
